What is a franchise?
A franchise is a unique business model where a company grants individuals or groups the right to operate their own business under the company’s established brand and business system. It operates like a specialised form of business partnership, offering a structured framework for entrepreneurs to leverage an established brand’s success while also providing ongoing support and guidance from the franchisor.
Here’s how it works:
The Franchisor: First, you have the franchisor. This is the company that owns the business idea or concept (in this case, BabyBallers). They’ve already set up a successful business and want to expand it.
The Franchisee: Next, you have the franchisee. That’s the person who wants to open their own business using the franchisor’s idea. They pay money to the franchisor to use their brand name, products, and business system.
Using a Proven System: Franchises usually come with a set way of doing things. This could include how to make the products, how to run the business, and how to market it. The franchisee follows these rules to help ensure success.
Support from the Franchisor: One big advantage of a franchise is the support you get from the franchisor. They help with things like training, marketing, and even finding the right location for your business.
Benefits for Both: Franchises can be a win-win for both the franchisor and the franchisee. The franchisor gets to expand their business without having to do all the work themselves, while the franchisee gets to own their own business with the backing of a successful brand and system.
How did BabyBallers football franchise start?

In 2015, Rich found himself on the hunt for football sessions suitable for his two-year-old son, Fletcher.
Disappointed with the offerings from local football groups, which seemed to consist of chaotic scenes of children darting around while coaches attempted in vain to guide them through intricate dribbling exercises, Rich saw an opportunity for something different. Thus, the concept of BabyBallers was born.
These innovative sessions, lasting between 35 to 40 minutes, were specifically crafted to captivate young children like Fletcher, emphasising engagement, incorporating both hands and feet, and learning through play using elements such as shapes, colours, and even numbers. As Fletcher continued to grow, so too did the BabyBallers program, prompting the expansion to include three distinct classes: BabyBallers, MiniBallers, and Ballers. From its inception to the present day, BabyBallers has evolved into a highly successful franchise model, boasting over 50 clubs throughout the southern regions of the UK, with additional clubs now established in Belgium and Australia.
